GRID, installation de lumière cinétique monumentale illuminera pour la Fête des Lumières 2013 l’Hôtel de Région Rhône-Alpes

Pour la Fête des Lumières 2013, Tetro présente GRID, une installation lumineuse cinétique monumentale, créée par le berlinois Christopher Bauder – WHITE VOID.

Sublimant l’architecture du bâtiment signée par Christian de Portzamparc, la structure lumineuse de GRID est composée de 50 triangles, constitués de 150 barres de leds motorisées, suspendues pour former une grille massive et dynamique de 22m de long.

Installée au cœur de l’Hôtel de Région Rhône-Alpes, GRID associe lumière et mouvement corrélés au chant des 45 choristes du Concert de l’Hostel Dieu et des notes électroniques de Robert Henke.

Formant lignes droites, diagonales et losanges, GRID s’anime aux rythmes des sonorités contemporaines de deux formations musicales :

– le Concert de l’Hostel Dieu dont le chœur interprètera L’Immortal de Jean-Sébastien Bach, arrangée par Knut Nystedt et dirigée par Franck-Emmanuel Comte

– Robert Henke, artiste allemand, remarqué sur la scène internationale de musique électronique depuis les années 90 et fondateur de Monolake.

Grid is a monumental kinetic light installation that will illuminate the Hotel de Region of Rhone-Alpes for the 2013 edition of the Festival des Lumieres.

For the Festival des Lumieres 2013, Tetro and Whitevoid present GRID, a monumental kinetic light show created by the Berliner Christopher Bauder.

GRID reveals the architecture of the building designed by Christian de Portzamparc. GRID is a structure composed of 50 triangles consisting of motorized bars with 150 Leds, hanging to form a massive dynamic grid of 22m long.

Located at the heart of the Hotel de Region in Lyon-France, GRID combines light and movement based on the 45 singers of Concert de l’Hostel Dieu and Robert Henke’s electronic notes.

Forming straight lines, diagonals and diamonds, GRID comes alive to the rhythm of contemporary sound of two bands :

– Concert de l’Hostel Dieu whose choir will perform the Johann Sebastian Bach’s Immortal, arranged by Knut Nystedt and directed by Franck-Emmanuel Comte,

– German artist Robert Henke, known since the 90s in the international electronic music scene and founder of Monolake.

for the french fête des lumières 2013, in lyon, tetro presented ‘grid’ at the hôtel de région rhône-alpes. the monumental kinetic light installation was designed by christopher bauder berliner, founder of whitevoid and robert henke. the structure is made from 150 bars of motorized suspended LEDs, forming a dynamic grid of 22m long. illuminating french architect christian de portzamparc’s building, floating triangles mesmerizingly move up and down, turn on and off according to the rhythm of music. a wavering, organic motion is achieved, completely washing the audience in baths of glowing bright colors.
