The Chromed AW14: Bionic Bodies Collection tells the story of a love affair between a human and a robotic being. Interactive maps of the internet and websites like Tweetping, Reddit and global energy usage topographies inspired the material palette of wearable semiconductor light source technology paired with lush velvets and chromed metal plating.

Chromat is architectural swim and athletic wear designed for strong, powerful women.

Chromat began in 2010 drawing from founder Becca McCharen-Tran’s background in architecture.

Each Chromat collection explores the intersection of architecture, fashion and technology, producing garments that augment and enhance the body’s performance through innovative design and cutting-edge technical fabrics.

Chromat is focused on empowering women of all shapes and sizes through perfectly fit garments for every body.

It’s easy to understand why strong, bold personalities all over the world—including Beyoncé, Madonna, FKA Twigs, Zendaya, Taylor Swift, Tyra Banks, and Nicki Minaj—have made statements in CHROMAT looks. Chromat has been featured in Vogue, the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Refinery 29, Self Mag, Numero and more.

Chromat swimwear, sportswear, lingerie and signature architectural cages are all made in New York City.
