Kamila Gawronska-Kasperska’s collections have stretched the boundaries of Fashion. Her inspiration was drawn from the films Metropolis and Sky Captain. The unique fashion photography by Tomek Slupski, Maciej Boryna and Bartek Sejwa, accentuates the bold geometry of her collections. The city is the backdrop of this stylish, urban and elegant collection, the morphing of fashion and architecture. Black and white with strokes of red are the main colours of her canvas used to experiment with form and fabric processing.

Kamila Gawronska trained in art and fashion photography before attending the International School of Costume and Fashion Design in Warsaw. Kamila’s work has a wonderful drama the collection pictured is based on the movie entitled Metropolis directed by Fritz Lang in 1927.

Kamila is fashion and costume designer from Poland. Graduated from Art Department in Zielona Gora University (1998-2003). Master of Arts finals on fashion photography. Between 2008 -2011 – a student of International School of Costume and Fashion Design in Warsaw, Poland.
METROPOLIS collection – Inspiration in creating this collection was a film made by Fritz Lang in 1927 called “Metropolis”. The main idea was taken from futuristic styled skyscrapers as seen in the movie, followed with dieselpunk style, fashion from 1920′s and 1930′s, art deco style and Tamara Lempicka’s paintings. Structural, feminine and beyond the time, this collection is based on only three colours : black, red and white.

“Metropolis” adını taşıyan bu çekim, şehir kesitlerini birer ütopyaya dönüştürüyor. Kostümler oldukça fütüristik; Kamila Gawrońska-Kasperska imzasını taşıyorlar. Maciej Boryna’nın fotoğrafladığı Weronika Spyrka ve Paulina Klimczak’ın makyajı ise Alex Chmdzynska’ya ait.
