Biography:
Norimichi Hirakawa nasceu no Japão. Suas obras, centralizadas em instalações audiovisuais programadas em computador e processadas em tempo real, foram exibidas em mostras de arte nacionais e internacionais, assim como festivais de arte midiática. Ele recebeu diversos prêmios, como o Excellence Prize no Festival Japan Media Arts em 2004, e o prêmio de Distinction in Interactive Art Division no Prix Ars Electronica em 2008. Tendo se envolvido numa grande variedade de atividades, ele vem trabalhando como técnico para artistas como Ryoji Ikeda, Seiko Mikami e Yoshihide Otomo, e atua como Typingmonkeys com Kumiko Noguchi. Ele é diretor artístico no projeto ARTSAT (Art and Satellite Project).

Having been involved in a wide range of activities, he has worked on a concert piece production for Ryoji Ikeda, collaborated with Yoshihide Otomo, Yuki Kimura and Benedict Drew, participated in the Lexus Art Exhibition at Milan Design week. and has started live performance as Typingmonkeys.
