Cinderella Intoxication is an interactive art piece bridging sensory technologies with traditional garment design. It speaks of the fleeting and magical transformation of Cinderella at the ball to the ephemeral weekend twist of perceived oppression and reward in modern society. Materials have been made to resemble shattered glass and etched with the appearance of alcohol under a microscope, while the form has been heavily inspired by that of a 17th Century crinoline. Intimacy is key, as the revealing and broken garment becomes whole as it lights up, allowing the dark and frantic patterns to evoke in reaction to every touch and bump.
