Der 1965 in Walenstadt geborene Hunziker begann zunächst ein Architekturstudium an der ETH in Zürich. Es folgten ein Aufenthalt in New York, wo er dem Bildhauer Willard Boepple assistierte, und anschliessend ein Studiengang Bildende Kunst an der Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst in Zürich. Ab 1994 nahm der Objekt- und Konzeptkünstler an verschiedenen Gruppen- und Einzelausstellungen teil. Hunzikers gesamtes Oeuvre ist geprägt von seinem architektonischen Verständnis für Raumaufteilung und -gestaltung und zeichnet sich durch eine präzise Material- und Farbwahl aus. Daniel Robert Hunziker lebt und arbeitet in Zürich.

Né en 1965 à Walenstadt, Daniel Hunziker a d’abord étudié l’architecture à l’EPFZ de Zurich. Il a ensuite séjourné à New York, où il a assisté le sculpteur Willard Boepple, puis a poursuivi des études d’arts plastiques à la Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst de Zurich. A partir de 1994, l’artiste plasticien et conceptuel a participé à diverses expositions de groupe et individuelles. L’ensemble de l’œuvre de D. H. Hunziker est marquée par sa perception architectonique de la répartition et de l’aménagement des espaces et se distingue par un choix précis de matériaux et de couleurs.
