Nick Ervinck es un artista belga mulitidisciplinar que crea instalaciones, esculturas, grabados, ilustraciones y animaciones 3D, explorando transversalmente los diferentes medios artísticos. Utiliza diferentes medios y técnicas, incluida la impresión 3D, para explorar los límites de la escultura, la arquitectura y el diseño.
Ervinck ha recibido el reconocimiento de diversas organizaciones y su obra ha sido expuesta en numerosas exposiciones. En 2005 recibió el premio Godecharle de Escultura, en 2006 el premio Mais de Bruselas y en 2008 el premio Rodenbach.
La obra de Ervink pone de relieve lo que una mente creativa puede hacer con la impresión 3D aplicada al campo artístico. El diseño digital y la impresión 3D permiten al artista crear formas muy complejas que de otra forma sería prácticamente imposible realizar.
Para su serie de esculturas Agrieborz, Ervinck se inspiró en las típicas imágenes de órganos humanos que podemos encontrar en los manuales médicos. El trabajo final conserva cierta familiaridad con músculos, vasos sanguíneos y nervios dando forma a un rostro humano.

Fostering an cross-pollination between the digital and the physical, Nick Ervinck (°1981, Belgium) explores the boundaries between various media. Studio Nick Ervinck applies tools and techniques from new media, in order to explore the aesthetic potential of sculpture, 3D prints installation, architecture and design. Through his divergent practice, a strong fascination with the construction of space is noticeable. Not only does Nick Ervinck focus on the autonomous sculptural object, he also questions its spatial positioning and points to the phenomenological experience and embodiment of space.

Nick Ervinck (born 1981, lives and works in Belgium) creates huge installations, sculptures, prints, workdrawings and animated films. For several years he participated in many individual projects and group shows. In 2005 he received the Godecharle prize for Sculpture, in 2006 the Mais prize of the City Brussels and the prize for visual art of West-Flanders and in 2008 the Rodenbach fonds award. Recently he showed work at MOCA Shanghai, MARTA Herford, Kunstverein Ahlen, Koraalberg Antwerp, Zebrastraat Ghent, HISK Ghent, Odette Ostend, Superstories Hasselt, Brakke Grond Amsterdam, MAMA Rotterdam and Telic Art Exchange Los Angeles/Berlin.

Nick Ervinck ontwierp een werk voor het Militair Hospitaal in Oostende en stelt zijn werken tentoon op het zomerfestival Freestate II. Zijn oevre is een zoektocht naar een nieuwe vormentaal waarbij 3D centraal staat. De jonge kunstenaar tast de grenzen af van de reële en de virtuele wereld. Zijn huidig werk balanceert op de dunne koord van architectuur, vormgeving, kunst en uit zich in sculpturen, tekeningen en prints.

Nick Ervinck, belga művész munkáival a Nilipedia honlapon ismerkedhetnek az érdeklődők. Alkotói tevékenysége szerteágazó: nagyléptékű installációkkal, szobrokkal, fafaragással, nyomtatással, animációs filmmel egyaránt foglalkozik; a különféle médiumok határait igyekszik kitágítani, átjárhatóvá tenni, felszámolni.
Több csúcstechnológiával dolgozik, például a 3D nyomtatást is előszeretettel alkalmazza. A 3D szoftverkörnyezetben elsősorban a web 2.0-ával és a DJ-k tevékenységével elterjedt mashup-, mixmódszert használja. A darabokat innen-onnan szedi össze és copy&paste-tel alakítja hamisítatlanul egyedi, önálló egésszé.
Munkásságáért több kitüntetésben részesült, alkotásai Sanghajtól Los Angelesig, különféle kiállításokon láthatók.

Ник Эрвинк – бельгийский художник, который занимается созданием огромных инсталляций, скульптур, печатных объектов, нарисованных работ и анимационного кино; изучает границы и возможности различных медиа. Он применяет разнообразные инструменты и технологии, включая 3D печать, чтобы разрушить границы в искусстве скульптуры, архитектуры и дизайна. Применяя технику «копирование вставки» в программной 3D среде, Эрвинк становится точно ди-джеем, который объединяет ритмы, частицы и формы из различных источников для создания своего шедевра.
Эрвинк получил признание от многих организаций, а его работы экспонировались в различных шоу.
