CPR Practice
source: trailer-ruhrde

»CPR Practice« (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
With Geumhyung Jeong, performer/choreographer, Seoul/ South Korea
During her performance Geumhyung Jeong will practice CPR in a simulated emergency, following the latest CPR guidelines.
CPR stands for cardiopulmonary resuscitation and is used in emergencies. CPR is a combination of chest compressions and rescue breathing given to a person whose heart has stopped beating and who has stopped breathing. CPR can temporarily help a small amount of blood flow to the heart and brain and attempts to get the heart to beat again.
Emergencies like sudden cardiac arrest can happen anywhere, whether at work or at home. At anytime an individual may find they are in a position to act when an emergency unfolds. If someone is not breathing and the heart is not beating, the three steps in CPR should be immediately performed, which are known as »C-A-B« – C: compressions, A: airway, B: breathing.
