Lee é a própria modelo de seus trabalhos. As fotografias tiradas dela coberta de tinta óleo são pintadas nas telas, e esse ato da transferência realista, indica um desejo gigante de se libertar da ideia de que julgar exclusivamente o caráter de alguém, baseado em suas características e movimentos, é em parte, errado.

Suas pinceladas pesadas preenchem toda a tela com texturas. Elas ficam em cima umas das outras, como indicadores da angústia mental na qual Lee está passando.

Рим Ли (Rim Lee) – художница из Кореи, которую по праву можно назвать гуру гиперреалистичнй живописи. Жемчужиной ее творчества является серия оригинальных рисунков «Беспорядок эмоций».

Этой серией картин, художница демонстрирует, как из беспорядочных форм и движений зарождаются чувственные образы, способные отразить женское мировосприятие.

Художница признается, что работать над этими оригинальными гиперреалистичными картинами было достаточно сложно, поскольку сначала ей приходилось делать снимок с помощью фотоаппарата, а затем раскрашивать его красками. Но результат столь долгого и упорного труда превосходит все ожидания.

Рим Ли достаточно сильно интересуют эмоции и переживания человека, именно их она старается отобразить в своих необычных картинах. Художница отмечает, что люди испытывают преимущественно одни и те же эмоции, и она надеется, что ее чувственные картины помогут им глубже познать свою сущность.

Korean artist Rim Lee creates The Mess of Emotion, a haunting series of oil paintings that combine performance, photography and oils. The multi-faceted paintings work well within the themes the artist plays with, as they literally show the woman’s tortured yet delicate essence driven by emotional distress quite beautifully.
Lee plays model for her photographs; these [photographs] are then referenced in her paintings. The act of transferring the realistic image onto a canvas [a surface which usually allows for unworldly expression] indicates an unyielding desire to break free from the idea that judging character solely based on interpretations of physical characteristics and movements is in part, wrong.
Aptly so, the paint acts as a conduit for emotion and expression; the paint washes over Lee’s hyper-realistic physical portrayal, creating a dialogue between the two polarities.
The heavy-expressionistic brushstrokes fill the canvas with texture; they rise above anything else, as to indicate relevance on behalf of the otherwise invisible mental anguish she is going through.

“The Mess Of Emotion” ist der Names dieses Gemäldes der aus Korea kommenden Künstlerin Rim Lee, welches eine in dicke Acryl-Farbschichten gehüllte Frau zeigt. Dieses Werk ist somit eine Kombination aus Performance, Fotografie und Malerei. Sie selbst spielt mit Pigmenten als Modell für ihre Fotos, die sie später als Referenz für ihre Gemälde verwendet, so entsteht in diesem Drei-Stufen-Ansatz eine unglaublich realistische Darstellung einer Frau, die in ihren eigenen Gefühlen verloren zu sein scheint. Lee sagt über Ihre Kunst:

Even though we, as unique individuals, live in a different environment, at apoint of time we feel the same when we look at an object. When I am having a conversation with my family and friends, I feel that we are of a same mind. I believe that one admits the difference and similarity of each creature through interacting with each other. Based upon the perception of such commonality, I try to put the incidental excitement into a two dimensional surface of colours to propose you to another imaginative phantasmal world.
