Eric Marrian was born in 1959, he studied Architecture.
After hesitating to become a professional photographer after its studies, he finally decided to stop completely photography and, after a pause of fifteen years, at the beginning of the 2000’s, he finally returned back to its first love.
In 2003, Eric begins a series on the French marine city, Saint Malo, and after that he started to shoot in Studio. Then, things went very fast: he won the Photography contest of BIEVRES and was published on several occasions by the photographic press. He was invited by the organisers of ‘Le Salon des Artistes Français’ to show its work.
End 2005, he started its series ‘Carré Blanc’ in studio. The first images of this series received in 2006 the award of the European Festival of Nude Photography in Arles, France.
His series on St Malo was also awarded by the Leica Procirep Dotation.
The exhibition which follows at the Gallery Verdeau was a real success. He is then spotted by a Russian Gallery, Gallery 2.36, which acquires the totality of the images existing at that time. Its work will be exhibited, repeatedly in 2008 and in 2009, in Russia.
