Teresita Fernandez, born in Miami in 1968, is a contemporary sculptor and artist. She graduated from Southwest Miami High School in 1986, received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Florida International University in 1990 and obtained her Masters of Fine Art from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1992. Fernandez’s work is characterized by an interest in perception and the psychology of looking.
