The Odyssey Lounge Chair
source: decoist
The Odyssey Lounge Chair by Singapore-based designer Alvin Huang is Decoist’s pick for today’s cool furniture design display. The round cornered Odyssey Lounge Chair welcomes you to rest on its undulating shape, while its minimalist design looks like an angelic piece of furniture prepared to lift your spirit while in a comfortable position. The movement of waves was imitated in the simple but elegant design.
In spacious rooms, where guests and family are welcomed to join you during special moments, an Odyssey Lounge Chair could be the place where everyone wants to rest for a while. Its sinuous design would even be suited to be displayed in the middle of the room, becoming the focal point and the metaphor for a healthy, stress-free living style.

At first glance, the Odyssey Lounge Chair looks like a woman’s shoe. In fact, it looks like a artistic 3D printed heel, something that Lady Gaga or any other daring fashionista would wear. Nevertheless, it is actually a seat that hugs the contours of one’s body beautifully.
Created by Singaporean designer Alvin Huang, the Odyssey Lounge Chair is a minimalist piece of furniture that would have a huge futuristic impact on just about any home. Made entirely out of fiberglass, the Odyssey Lounge Chair is a stunning sculptural seat that would easily become the centerpiece of a living space.
It shows how much people are craving unique, modern furniture that has more of an artistic presence than other cookie-cutter pieces of home decor.
