Work: I want to express my own way to protect from the confusion of myself being who I am. Which combines in ‘invisible and visible’, ‘exist and non-existence’. This projection of the viewer represents the uncertainty of the wearer’s own self-identity. Looking at Lygia pape’s work ‘universes in universal’, which she combines with space in between her installation with the lights, it allows me to imagine onto Jewellery on the body, I believe the spaces in between body is the most unusual and unexpected space, so uses of simplified forms and lines to start to know how it relates on the body.

I have always thought that it is quite awesome when analogue style meets modern graphic design. They are both amazing in themselves, of course, but I like the combination. Also, I think that when they do meet, it is like ‘fine art’ turning into ‘design’. Paper can be in harmony with every kind of digital graphic design. I’m attracted by the infinite possibilities of paper.
Having majored in communication design at Hongik University in Chungnam, South Korea, Goeun Lee has already had four exhibitions of her paper work staged in her homeland. Graphic design and paper art are her true loves and she now works as a freelance designer, which allows her to pursue her paper dreams.
