German artist Heike Weber uses dozens of permanent markers to completely transform a dull space into a mesmerizing three-dimensional environment.

The artist starts out by drawing her loopy shapes on sheets of paper, then proceeds to making them permanent by repeating the process on a room’s floor, ceiling and walls, with markers. I can’t imagine how much patience you need to do all the drawing by hand, considering you’re pretty much tracing the same lines over and over again, but I guess that’s just one of the qualities that make Heike Weber a great artist. What’s even more impressive is some her installations are larger than 5,000 square feet.

Apart from using the marker’s colors, Weber’s technique allows her to control the white space between the lines, creating a three-dimensional world that somehow feels alive. I can’t imagine anyone being able to live in a space that seems to be constantly flowing around them, but if you can’t make up your mind about how to decorate your home, maybe you should try a permanent marker and unleash your artistic talent. This guy did it, and it turned out pretty darn amazing.

A alemã Heike Weber faz um trabalho de causar inveja a James Cameron e seu “Avatar”. A artista usa dezenas de pinceis atômicos (ou canetas de ponta mais forte e resistente) para transformar completamente um espaço sem graça em um ambiente fascinante e tridimensional.
Ela começa seu trabalho desenhando suas formas cheias de ondas e curvas em folhas de papel e depois passa-os para o piso, o teto e as paredes do cômodo com os canetões. A arte, desta forma, se torna permanente. É difícil imaginar o quanto de paciência é necessária para cobrir espaços inteiros, como os mostrados nas imagens a seguir, usando apenas desenhos à mão. Porém, é por essas e outras que Heike Weber é uma grande artista. E o mais impressionante: algumas das instalações criadas por ela possuem mais de 5 mil metros quadrados.

Além de usar as cores dos pinceis atômicos, a técnica de Weber lhe permite controlar o espaço em branco entre as linhas, criando um mundo tridimensional que de alguma forma parece estar vivo. Se alguém for capaz de viver em um lugar que parece estar constantemente fluindo ao seu redor, está aí uma sugestão para a decoração da sua casa. Use um pincel atômico, inspire-se em Heike Weber e libere seu talento para a arte. O pior que pode acontecer é você ter de contratar um pintor para consertar seus equívocos artísticos.
