IMUAHII was started by Academy of Art alumni Elena Slivnyak in 2010. Based in San Francisco, Elena’s avant-garde couture wear pushes conceptional boundaries (read: sick-ass designs!) and is consistently sought after by celebrities and stylists—not to mention other fashion fanatics who have really good taste! And they would be in good company; Lady Gaga, Ciara, and Victoria Justice are all fans of IIMUAHII.

The heads over at Project Runway got wind of Elena’s talent, and she was cast in Project Runway season 10 where she ended up presenting a press-favorite “decoy” collection at Mercedes Benz fashion week.

Expanding her brand’s repertoire, Elena recently launched a new division of sportswear, R2Wear, and she plans to launch a menswear and accessory line in the near future. Oh, and conquer the world. You know, no big deal.

A few things:

We believe that fashion should push boundaries.

We believe in neutralizing our carbon footprint, which means we produce everything in-house.

We try to partner with animal conservation efforts as much as possible.

And you will never find fur in any of our collections.

Check out these fascinating avant garde outfits from Elena Slivnyak reblogged from my favorite fashion blog, The Citizens of Fashion. You might remember the outspoken Slivnyak from Project Runway. She has been quoted as saying that her experience there taught her to make her clothing “more sellable”. Synkroniciti is glad to find that she hasn’t taken that advice too far. The textures here are out of this world and these models look like computer generated science fiction characters. Somebody has to keep dreaming, folks!
