Jan Pauwels has been designing custom light since 1993. His small company, Random, employs 4 workers who help implement the manufacture and installation of his custom designs.

As a light artist, Jan creates light objects that are designed to enhance the architectural needs and functional requirements of space.

Random’s creations consist primarily of transparent structures containing many small light bulbs. The frames are usually made of aluminum or brass. The transparency of the chandeliers leaves space intact, while creating a playful and airy environment and feeling.

Every creation is custom designed and manufactured in Random’s studio. Random can also perform all installation of its products.

The chandeliers can be delivered anywhere in the world.

Jan Pauwels startte in 1993 met het ontwerpen en realiseren van licht op maat. Hij richtte Random Light op, een bedrijf met 4 medewerkers die hem ondersteunen in het maken en de plaatsing van de lichtontwerpen.

Als ondernemend lichtkunstenaar streeft Jan Pauwels naar de creatie van lichtobjecten die voldoen aan de architecturale en functionele ruimten waarin zij geplaatst worden.

De lichtobjecten bestaan vooral uit transparante structuren gemaakt uit aluminium of messing en met veel kleine lichtpuntjes. De transparantie laat de ruimtes intact en vormt een feeërieke, vrolijke en feestelijke toevoeging.

Alles wordt met veel zorg met de hand vervaardigd en geplaatst indien gewenst.

De lichtontwerpen worden over de gehele wereld geleverd.

Jan Pauwels a commencé la création et la réalisation de luminaires en 1993.

Il a démarré Random Light, une société avec 4 employeurs qui le soutiennent dans la réalisation et l’installation de luminaires.

Jan vise la création d’objets luminaires qui correspondent aux espaces dans lesquelles ils sont placés, de façon architecturale et fonctionnelle.

Les luminaires se composent de structures transparentes en aluminium ou en laiton, dans lesquelles s’incrustent de nombreux points lumineux. La transparence laisse les espaces intacts et le grand nombre de petites ampoules ajoute une dimension féérique et festive.

Tout ce que produit son atelier est soigneusement fait à la main et est, au besoin, installé.

Les luminaires sont livrés dans le monde entier.
