Work: Personal Horizon Lines 2007 Wearable Tension Fabric Structures For people who live in cities and are faced by verticles on a daily basis This wearable sculpture and performance allows the wearer to rest their eyes on a horizontal blue field, both blocking out the visual noise of the city and producing a calming environment mimicking an ocean or expanse of water. The racing stripes allow the Personal Horizon Line to blend into a contemporary sports-ware environment. These conceptual designs are performed as interventions in many cities around the globe.

Artist’s Statement
The work that I have been engaging at this time attempts to understand and explore demarcations of personal interaction and behaviors that exist within public and private space. I am interested in how people communicate with one another, and by what means intention is lost and meaning confused due to language barriers and devices that claim to facilitate such ab exchange. In an age of mass communication and electronic bombardment, I am seeking to make individual soaces where contemplation can occur.
