John Espinosa
(b. Bogota Colombia)
lives and works in Los Angeles, CA
Espinosa received an MFA from Yale University”s School of Art (Sculpture) in 2001, and a BFA from The New World School of the Arts in Miami in 1998.
His work has been featured in numerous group exhibitions at venues including The Renaissance Society (Chicago); The New Museum of Contemporary Art (NY); Metro Pictures (NY); Marianne Boesky Gallery (NY); Emmanuel Perrotin (Paris); and Vilma Gold (London). He has had one-person exhibitions at Sandroni Rey Gallery (LA), Charest-Weinberg (Miami), Fredric Snitzer Gallery (Miami) and the Museum of Contemporary Art (Miami).
His work is in numerous public and private collections including the Whitney Museum of Contemporary Ar (NY); The Miami Art Museum, The Museum of Contemporary Art (Miami) and The New Museum of Contemporary Art (NY).
