Julia Fullerton-Batten was born in Bremen Germany (1970). She spent most of her childhood in Germany and the United States, before moving to the UK when she was 16. She now lives in London. Julia studied photography at the Royal Berkshire College of Art and Design. She started her professional career in 2001 and is now a well-established professional photographer, Julia is rapidly developing a reputation as one of the leading young photographers in Europe.

She has had a book published by Actes Sud, “Teenage Stories” in 2007. She has exhibited at Galerie Les Filles Du Calvaire in Paris and Brussels, Camara Oscura in Madrid, Jenkins Johnson and Randall Scott Gallery in New York, Guangdong Museum of Art in China, The Museum of Contemporary Art Shanghai and Les Rencontres D’Arles, France, Casa Delll’Arte, Istanbul, Skotia gallery, Santa Fe, Pompidou Center, Paris amongst others.

She has won the Fondation HSBC pour la Photographie award, L’Insense Photo, Sony World Photography Awards and Hasselblad Master in Fine Art, She has a permanent collection in National Portrait Gallery, London and Musee de l’Elysee, Switzerland.

La fotógrafa naturalista Julia Fullerton-Batten, es una de las más renombradas fotógrafas de la actualidad, siempre reconocida por la creatividad a la hora de producir trabajos de gran originalidad e ingenio.

Julia nació en Bremen, Alemania, en 1970; como su padre era fotógrafo, desde temprana edad demostró su interés por el oficio, y de su adolescencia datan sus primeros pasos en la fotografía.

Fantasía y realidad se confunden en el trabajo de Fullerton-Batten. Julia utiliza maquetas y distintas herramientas de edición para sus creaciones, donde está siempre patente su impronta: ya sea en sus fotografías más personales o en trabajos por encargo.

Julia Fullerton-Batten

Nascida na Alemanha e residente em Londres, Julia Fullerton-Batten faz parte da nova safra de artistas da Inglaterra, se destacando no ramo da fotografia. Depois de se formar na Universidade de Berkshire, estagiou durante 5 anos e já viajou dezenas de países. Como todo fotógrafo iniciante, trabalhou como assistente freelancer e já fez vários trabalhos na área de publicidade. Hoje, felizmente, a moça pode se dedicar exclusivamente à fotografia artística, tendo representantes nas principais capitais do mundo.
