KARLA SHACKLOCK COMPANY, based in Bristol, is run by award-winning Artistic Director and Choreographer Karla Shacklock. We are Associate Company at Pavilion Dance South West, work closely with a number of South West partners, and are supported by Arts Council England. Our practice is highly physical, visual and visceral and concerned with liveness, authenticity and transformation. We aim to allow our audience to have an experience, to feel, to be with us, rather than to sit and watch. We work imaginatively with the body, voice, live sound and everyday objects. We make work only if we have something to say.
