Traveling past an avenue of trees on a bus ride, you can feel that sunlight is flickering on your face, projecting vivid colors even with your eyes closed.
I extend this daily experience into a deep exploration. In this project, 10Hz, where the device stimulates the viewer’s Alpha Brain Wave by both light and sound through the use of tuning forks. Illusionary vision and sound are unleashed in your brain. It also explores the artistic potentialities and the playfulness of Alpha Brain Wave beyond therapeutic purposes.

當巴士經過一排排的樹，車上的你可以感受陽光在臉上閃動，閉上眼仍看到精彩的色調。 《10Hz》借我這個小小的日常經歷發展成一探索，利用音叉以光線與聲音刺激觀眾的Alpha腦電波。 視聽的錯覺在腦內開展，同時發掘腦電波在治療以外其他的可能性。

Kenny Wong Chi-Chuen é um artista de mídia de Hong Kong. Concluiu seu bacharelado em mídia criativa na City University de Hong Kong em 2011. Wong recentemente foi premiado entre os Golden 15 no 3º International Emerging Artist Award. Ele enfatiza a arte e a pesquisa multidisciplinar para expressar a relação delicada entre experiências cotidianas e estímulos da percepção.
Wong interessa-se por explorar padrões visuais, estados alternativos de percepção, texturas sonoras e por apresentar obras de arte através da criação de novas experiências para o público como forma de interação. Ele colabora ativamente com outros artistas de mídia, de som e de teatro no papel de artista colaborador, designer multimídia, engenheiro/designer mecânico e pesquisador de arte.
Sua recente obra de arte e neurociência, “10Hz”, recebeu o Gold Award (categoria Mídia Interativa) no 16º Hong Kong Independent Short Film and Video Awards e foi exibida em diversas exposições. Sua obra de vídeo “Human Body” foi exibida em Hong Kong e na Coreia do Sul.

Kenny Wong Chi-Chuen is a Hong Kong media artist. He received his Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Creative Media from City University of Hong Kong in 2011. Wong puts emphasis on art and multi-discipline research to express the delicate relationship between daily experiences and perceptual stimulations.
Wong interested in exploring visual patterns, alternative perceptual states, sound textures and presenting work of art by creating new experience for audience as the form of interaction.
Wong also actively collaborate with other media artists, sound artists and theater performers as a role of collaborating artist, multimedia designer, mechanical engineer/designer and art researcher.
Wong’s solo and collaborative works are being selected in Ars Electronica Festival (Austria), FILE Festival (Brazil), ISEA Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Athens Video Festival (Greece). He also being awarded as the Golden 15 in the 3rd International Emerging Artist Award (Dubai), and locally he has been awarded for the Bloomberg Digital Arts Initiative 2013, and the Gold Award at the 16th ifva Festival (Interactive Media Category) .

黃智銓是一位香港媒體藝術家，他於2011年獲得香港城市大學創意媒體文學士（榮譽）學位。他關注藝術和跨學科研究，以微妙的日常經驗和感知刺激之間的關係為創作元素。
黃智銓熱衷於探索視覺圖案，感知狀態，及聲音質感來創造新的空間經驗予觀眾。同時，他也以多媒體設計師、機械工程師／設計師和藝術研究員的身份與其他媒體藝術家、聲音藝術家和戲劇演員等積極合作。
黃智銓的個人和合作作品曾獲邀的展出，包括林茨電子藝術節（奧地利）, 電子藝術節FILE(巴西), 杜拜ISEA國際電子藝術研討會(阿聯酋)，雅典錄像藝術節(希臘)。他亦獲選為第三屆國際新晉藝術家獎(IEAA)Golden 15，「Bloomberg數位藝術培育計劃2013」的得獎者，以及於第16屆香港獨立短片及錄像比賽中獲得金獎。
