Talking Head

Following the dictum of current online events, the new creation Talking Head by the performance group Liquid Loft around the choreographer Chris Haring is now placing its absurd characters into the twittertubeandfacebook box. But the performers neither obey the apparatus nor are they trapped in constant refractoriness. Rather they move in between, outside the structure. They are in a state of permanent simulation, in mutual imitation.

The phrase Talking Head is not only reminiscent of one of the most successful new wave bands of the 1980s but also of the “box setting” of a camera close-up. Drawing on Cinema Vérite, the self-promoter here stages himself in empty prattle, the serious reporter in the newsroom or the artist about his work. If the body loses its consistency in the process, smashes its virtual image and lives from the masquerade that accompanies its personal fate at every turn, then, it is a matter of- freely after the media philosopher Villem Flusser -getting wise to the tricks of the apparatus and attempt to risk playing its pigheaded absurdity against itself.

Lost In Translation? – Ein Zwischenruf in Tanz, Performance, Kunst und Theorie zur aktuellen gesellschaftlichen Kommunikation

Digital, politisch, medial, gesellschaftlich, interkulturell, zwischenmenschlich … – auf allen Kanälen wird jederzeit, überall, miteinander, aneinander vorbei kommuniziert. Mit „Lost in Translation? – Ein Zwischenruf in Tanz, Performance, Kunst und Theorie zur aktuellen gesellschaftlichen Kommunikation“ präsentiert Access To Dance vom 3. bis 7. Dezember zeitgenössische Tanzperformances, die sich mit den verschiedenen Formen und Möglichkeiten, wie wir gegenwärtig kommunizieren, auseinandersetzen. Theoretiker und Wissenschaftler werden sich außerdem im Vorfeld zu den einzelnen Vorstellungen in Vorträgen jeweils ab 19.00 Uhr mit spezifischen (gesellschafts-)politischen, performance- und kommunikationstheoretischen, sowie soziologischen Fragestellungen befassen.

Die Gruppe Liquid Loft von Chris Haring eröffnet die Veranstaltungsreihe mit ihrer Performance „Talking Head“. Ein virtuoser und witziger Kommentar auf den digitalen Kommunikationswahnsinn in der Folge von Facebook, Twitter, Skype & Co.

A Talking Head című előadásban az osztrák koreográfus, Chris Haring kétfős társulata, a Liquid Loft, isteni nézőpontból, de humorral értékeli azt a kommunikációs őrületet, amit a facebook, a twitter, a skype és társai teremtettek. A valóságok folyamatosan átértékelődnek; a testek, a hangok, a nyelvek eltorzulnak, illetve átalakulnak szövegszobrokká. A Talking Head szórakoztató és intelligens módon mutatja be az önazonosság megtalálására irányuló vágyat a minket körülvevő digitális infó- és képáradatban.

מחול המעלה ביקורת על פוסט-מודרניזם ורדידות תרבותית. המופע בוחן את האופן בו הקהל צופה ביצירת אמנות ומתבסס על קומיקס ה”מנגה” היפני כצורת תקשורת דו מימדית וסמל לרדידות הצריכה התרבותית. במסגרת המופע ניתנת לצופים האפשרות לבחור את סדר 12הפרקים מהם המופע מורכב, וזאת באמצעות בחירת מנת סושי שתוגש לנבחרים בקהל.

הפסקול מורכב מאפקטים של צלילים, הנראים כאילו הם נובעים מגופם של הרקדנים, ומשולב של שני הרקדנים שבחלק מהמופע הם בעירום מלא.

סובב לו הסושי מבוסס על השאלה כיצד אנו מקבלים כיום את המופעים העולים על הבמה. התסריט חולק ל-12 מערכות והקהל בוחר את הסדר בו יוצגו, כשם שאדם בוחר את סדר הארוחה שלו כשהוא יושב בסושי בר בו המנות השונות סובבות על מסוע לפניו.
