Work: TranStructures Big cities are unceasingly in motion: growth, decay, changes. São Paulo is the source of my look and thoughts on metropolis. Recompose, redo continuously, from the probable to the improbable, allow us to try infinite possibilities that can lead us from sublime to disaster. Billions of hyperexpressions are induced always at random. The mechanisms that regulate the normal, the pre-established, rupture allowing the appearance of the possible others. They surprise us with products that arise unquietness. They allow us to free ourselves from preconceived structures in search of new questions. Chance generates situations and the human being will than select, interfere and appropriate. In TranStructures, São Paulo`s photos were submitted to a program specially developed for this work by the mathematician Anselmo Kumazawa, under my artistic guidance. The mechanisms of image deconstruction were conceived in a way that each time the process is launched, the format and the size of the interferences vary in a random generating hundreds of images, within which I choose some.

Technical Procedure: the pictures of the city of Sao Paulo were submitted to a program developed specifically for this work by a mathematician under my artistic guidance. It was written in the language C#, using .NET framework. The mechanisms of deconstruction and hyperexpression of images were created in such a way that the size of the interference varies randomly within a defined range in each individual process and the position in which these changes occur are also random.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Recompose, redo unstoppingly, from the probable to the improbable, allow us to try infinite possibilities or impossibilities that can lead us from sublime to disaster. Billions of translocations, transpositions, deletions, hyperexpressions are induced always at random, similar to genetic abnormalities. The mechanisms that regulate the normal, the pre-established, rupture allowing the appearance of the possible others. They surprise us with products that arise unquietness. In nature, these mechanisms allow the search and finding of more improved and productive solutions. In art, they allow to free us from preconceived structures in search of new questions. Chance generates situations and the human being will than select, interfere and appropriate.
