De petit format, les sculptures murales de Miguel Ângelo Rocha (1964) associent des matériaux les plus divers, pour la plupart caractérisés par une certaine forme de fragilité : carton, bambou, plume, noyau, papier de riz, petits objets du quotidien, etc. Ces compositions se tiennent discrètement au mur, dessinant formes, volumes et couleurs dans l’espace. Le regard devient tactile. Jouant avec la notion de série, l’artiste se plaie à disséminer ses œuvres dans l’espace d’exposition. Les sculptures ponctuent l’espace, apparaissent et disparaissent, au gré du parcours du spectateur.

Miguel Ângelo Rocha’s (1964) small scale wall sculptures gather a wide variety of material, most of them being characterised by a certain form of fragility: cardboard, bamboo, feather, stone, rice paper, small objects from daily life, etc. These small compositions discreetly stand on the walls, drawing forms, volumes and colours in the space. The gaze becomes tactile. Playing with the notion of series and repetition, Rocha disseminates his works through the exhibition space. The sculptures punctuate the space, appearing and disappearing, following the journey of the viewer.
