Sophie Delaporte é uma fotógrafa francesa cujos trabalhos incluem fotos para marcas famosas , como Dior, John Galliano, Jean Paul Gaultier e outros, além de ensaios para revistas como Vogue Itália, Vogue China e Vogue Japão. Com um estilo que mistura influências de fotografia de moda tradicional com um toque artístico próprio, Sophie Delaporte imprime sua marca dentro e fora dos ensaios fotográficos feitos sob encomenda.

Na sua série Nudes, a artista consegue juntar muito bem sua veia artística com a técnica de fotos do mundo fashion. Usando uma bela modelo esguia, de pele branca como a neve, Sophie contrapõe a alvura da pele dela com cores fortes de tecidos leves e esvoaçantes, quase sempre transparentes, num jogo de se vestir e se despir, com um resultado sensível, belo e sensual.

Born in 1971 in Paris, Sophie Delaporte studied photography and film at the art school Louis Lumière in Paris. After graduating, she moved to London and started to work for the English press. During the 90’s, her first publications appeared in I-D magazine.

Sophie Delaporte’s work is frequently featured in numerous books and publications such as Another Magazine, Italian Vogue, German Vogue, Japanese Vogue, Interview and I-D Magazine with whom she has continued to collaborate with regularly.

Her work has been shown in two solo exhibitions for Gallery Marion Meyer in Paris and Scream Gallery in London, which coincided with the London Fall Fashion Week in 2008. She has also taken part in group exhibitions and international art fairs including Art Chicago, Bâle Miami, Photo London, Works on Paper New York and Art Paris.

French born, New York and London based photographer Sophie Delaporte has a style that is easily recognizable. Color and fantasy are key players in her complex imagery as illustrated here in her Nudes series. In the series the model plays with the notion of covering and uncovering her body in a sensual but still humorous way.
I wanted to highlight these images because Nudes are one of the oldest forms of artistic expression, and have been done over and over by any and every artist, and very rarely do I see some Nude’s that really capture my attention. Delaporte finds a new light in which to depict them which feels unique and interesting.

Sophie Delaporte (1971, París, Francia) es una fotógrafa que ha conseguido crear su propio universo estético y lo aplica a su obra artística y a los trabajos comerciales de moda y publicidad que realiza.

Después de estudiar en París se instala en Londres donde comienza una larga colaboración con I-D Magazine. Ha publicado las ediciones de Vogue de Italia, Japón y China, y entre sus clientes se encuentran Hermès, Dior, John Galliano, Jean Paul Gaultier y Astier de Villate. Hasta el momento ha realizado cuatro exposiciones individuales en importantes galerías de París, Londres y Nueva York.

Su trabajo lo representa Michele Filomeno. La obra de Sophie Delaporte tiene influencias de la corriente del realismo mágico adaptadas a su propio estilo. Ha conseguido dejar su sello en cualquier tipo de trabajo que realiza y creo que va a ser uno de los grandes nombres dentro de la fotografía en los próximos años. Estoy seguro de que su obra será una referencia fundamental.
