Stephen Vuillemin was born in 1986 in Besançon, France. He now lives and works in London.

Stephen graduated from the animation school Gobelins in 2008. Laureate of the program “hors les murs” of the french institute in 2013. His work featured in the “Flickering Lights show” of the Spielsalon (Kassel), and “The Parisianer” Exhibition (Paris) in 2013.

Stephen’s original use of the GIF format mixes illustration, comics and animation, with no order of preference. His animated comics “Lycéennes” (“schoolgirls”) started to turn heads in 2011 (featured in Vice, Wired, cartoonbrew…)
His compositions include opulent palettes, where sci-fi meets fashion and lifestyle, on a sometimes vulgar, sometimes grandiose mode.

His client list includes: the New-York Times, GQ Magazine, The Atlantic, Arte, In Paradisum.

Stephen also has a long experience as a designer, an animator or a director in the animation industry. He has collaborated with several large studios in London and Paris (The Mill, Passion Pictures, Wizz) for clients such as Disney, Pepsico and EMI.
