Wang Jun-Jieh is an academic, a professor at an arts university in Taipei, but he is also well versed in advertising and business, having been art director for a successful fashion studio. With his creative art projects, he has no qualms about enlisting teams of professional assistants or seeking commercial sponsorship. Project Rrose: Love and Death (2011) was inspired by a peepshow-based work by Marcel Duchamp (who at one time used the pseudonym Rrose Sélavy). The viewer sees beautiful scenery, naked bodies (but never faces), erotic toys, straw and a gas lamp, all filmed in such high resolution that they seem surreal. The plot, if there is one, is elusive, but the imagery is haunting. Wang Jun-Jieh says the work is a visual exploration of the same questions that animated Duchamp: “What is the essence of art? What challenges does contemporary art face? In this work, … at the end everything goes up in flames, creating the answer that there is no answer for these questions.”

「微生物學協會」是藝術家王俊傑始於2000年的系列創作計畫，藉由虛擬的拯救瀕臨毀滅世界之研究，討論關於人類與文明的關係，已完成的作品包括：《衣計畫》（2000）、《狀態計畫 I》（2000）、《旅館計畫（神經指南）》（2001）、《金羊毛計畫》（2002）、《狀態計畫 II》（2005）等。《終曲：克里南特星》則是本系列的最後一個計畫；本作品描述了未來人類對3002年第一批外太空移民之見聞的考古記錄。

創立「微生物學協會」的Z博士，最後仍沒能完成對抗地球毀滅的任務，終由於「臭氧層」完全消失而導致地球毀滅。2550年，人類發現太陽系外緣一個具生命現象的外行星「克里南特星」(Cullinan+)；因此，移民克里南特星便成了唯一解救人類的方法。由地球前往克里南特星，須耗時四年半，因此，第一批太空移民便於西元2997年12月24日乘坐「阿哥號第五型」(The Argo Type V)超級太空船出發，於3002年7月1日到達目的地。第一批移民們以文字、繪畫及影像記錄等方式記錄下當時艱辛求生存的過程。

《終曲：克里南特星》展覽計畫，便是以未來人類的角度觀察人類移民外太空的考古學，它顯示在西元3000年時的人類文明雖已發展至前所未有的可能，但卻無法阻止地球的毀滅，因此人類帶著悲憤，被迫拋棄自我的高度文明，重新在另一¬個荒漠開始過著如原始人般的奮鬥生活……。《終曲：克里南特星》猶如一個寓言，它以博物館的歷史性文件展覽方式呈現，透過多個隱喻性的物品與文件，企圖將人類對於外太空冒險與生命跡象的憧憬，轉化為文明的另一次失落，一切回歸到原點，猶如地球曾遭遇的大滅絕般。.

1963年生於台北。畢業於德國國立柏林藝術學院（HdK Berlin），獲「卓越藝術家」最高文憑。1984年開始錄像藝術創作，為臺灣新媒體藝術的開創者之一。曾獲台新藝術獎（2009）、德國柏林電視塔藝術獎（1995）與雄獅美術新人獎（1984）。2000年獲日本「美術手帖」推選為「最受注目的100位藝術家之一」。王俊傑現居住與工作於台北，並任教於國立臺北藝術大學新媒體藝術學系副教授，兼藝術與科技中心主任。

Jun-Jieh WANG (geboren 1963 in Taipeh) ist zurzeit Juniorprofessor an der Fakultät für Medienkunst an der Staatlichen Universität der Künste in Taipeh. Außerdem ist er Direktor des Zentrums für Kunst und Technik. Er hat einen Master der Hochschule der Künste (jetzt Universität der Künste) in Berlin und wurde mit Preisen wie dem Hsiung-Shih New Artists Award (1984), dem Kunstförderpreis Berliner Fernsehturm (1996) und dem Taishin Arts Award (2009) ausgezeichnet.
