Paper Donut is the work of Alexis Facca, paper and set designer based in Brussels, Belgium. While Facca does a range of interesting and creative illustrations, I particularly like his optical illusion graffiti pieces.

Paper Donut is a French collective that conceptualizes “geometrical paper volumes and space scenography,” to use their own words. Their street art is impeccable– using spray cans and tape, they construct geometric shapes over a multitude of surfaces, creating images that change depending on which perspective you look at them from. At a certain angle, the images spring into sharp, clean clarity, and at all other angles, it becomes apparent that the perfect shapes are merely optical illusions.

Their most recent work is titled Green Sqwear, which was a promo for a new French online clothing brand Sqwear; it took 14 spray paint cans on 6 walls to create this. I also found two more similar works from Paper Donut, which I’ve added below.
