SANCTUAIRE
Sanctuaire it’s all about my relationship with Mexico City. A space filled with its own pure and special energy. To me is a never ending source of inspiration. This city is benefited of the powerful vibe, result of many factors provoked by its habitants. From far away, this city is characterized by a chaotic and indescribable movement. To be able to understand this, one must come close to realize that this apparent chaos is the manifestation of millions of individual actions from its habitants. Sanctuaire it’s going to be the visual manifestation of a mystical energy that transcends to the viewer. This piece gathers people in a cozy environment from which a light will be generated while levitating above the audience.

Vincent Leroy

Bubbles in Canyon
Paris-based artist, Vincent Leroy, has taken his characteristic use of levitating orbs to bryce canyon in the USA. This conceptual project, titled ‘bubbles in canyon’ imagines a mass of transparent spheres suspended in rotation between the cliffs. The installation hopes to offer viewers the opportunity to contemplate nature through an optical effect.

Matt Johnson

Levitating Woman
The way American artist Matt Johnson (born 1978) experiments with shapes and materials is apt to take the spectator by surprise. His creations are endowed with whimsical as well as subtle aspects. Drawn towards the mysterious and spiritual, Johnson remains deeply rooted in art history as he comments on life’s complexities. He often chooses materials that seem to conflict with his subjects.

DAVID LETELLIER

Caten
Created for the Saint Sauveur chapel in Caen, Caten is a levitating sculpture, determined by gravity and guiding the evolution of a sound composition.
300 fine wires suspended from two ropes, connected themselves at each end to a slowly rotating arm, form an evanescent surface which interacts with the architecture. By a symbolic mirror effect, the curves of the wires, created by the gravitational force, reflect the shapes of the church arches. Caten opposes the ephemeral to the eternal, the movement to the static, and produce a tension between the lightness and the millenary stability of the space.

FLOATING ORCHESTRA

‘floating orchestra’ by london-based poietic studio (richard harvey and keivor stainer) is an unconventional electronic
instrument controlled by iPhone. the orchestra is composed of levitating balls whose physical height determines their volume.
although the studio intends that future renditions of the project are controlled via gestures, in the current model an iPhone
application permits users to adjust the sounds and height and angle of the raising balls.
