Amours perdues : la culpabilité – France

Amours Perdues (Lost Loves) is a series of videos produced a few months after the passing of the artist’s wife. This tormented period was filled with numerous emotions and questions that gave birth to these videos. Whether art therapy or simply a form of catharsis, this work helped him to accept a painful reality.

BIO

Jean-Michel Rolland is a French artist. A long time a musician and a painter, he brings together his two passions—the sound and the image—in digital arts since 2010. Through video artworks, he questions temporality, a genuine fourth dimension inherent to moving image, as well as the duality between his two favorite mediums, the sound and the visual.
