ingiliz görsel sanatçı alice anderson zamanın kendini şekillendirmesinin, çalışmalarının en belirgin ilham kaynağı olduğunu düşünüyor… onun için anılar birer inşaat olarak atfedilebilirler, hatta çoğu kez biçim değiştirerek kurgunun ta kendisi olabilirler… anıyı “kurgunun esası” olarak görüyor ve anı vasıtasıyla zaman geçidinin, gerçeğin kendisinden çok kurguya daha yakın bir anımsamaya öncülük ettiğini düşünüyor…
anderson’ ın çalışmaları Tate Modern, The Pompidou Centre, The Grand Palais, Leon ve Mudam Müzelerinde sergilendi…
ilk kez 2008 de hazırladığı “Rapunzel”adlı yerleştirmesini gerçekleştirmek üzere üç farklı yere, üç bin metre uzunluğunda kızıl saç yerleştirdi .. The Picasso Müzesi, Paris, The Frac Paca ve the Marc Chagall National Müzesi… bu yerleştirme, hala önemli sergileri dolaşmaya devam ediyor..

Alice Anderson’s giant installations created out thousands of feet of red colored doll hair are a thing of wonder. Selected for its relationship to her own bright red hair, Anderson selected the material to refer to her childhood where she invented rituals based around her hair to calm her anxieties when left home alone. Draped over buildings, walls, and every imaginable surface, Anderson’s work is just as much about reinterpreting an everyday material as it is about coming to terms with the ghosts of her youth.

British filmmaker and artist Alice Anderson creates work by concentrating on her childhood from where her obsession of doll’s, and particularly hair, comes from. Her installations reflect her mother/daughter relationship during her isolation in her childhood. During that time Anderson would invent rituals to calm herself down by making threads out of undone seams – later her own hair – and twirling them around her own body and objects. As a natural red-head, she solely focuses on using red doll hair to make small and impressive large scale sculptures.

A criatividade dos artistas vai longe, e a diversidade dos materiais também. A artista Alice Anderson, fez maxi instalações que relembram sua infância. Alice costumava ficar sozinha em casa quando era criança, e os cabelos de boneca ajudavam-na a passar o tempo. Agora a artista transpassa essas emoções através de sua arte, que já foi exposta em prédios, ruas e galerias.

Alice Anderson est elle-même rousse, et se re-présente souvent dans des oeuvres à travers lesquelles elle cherche son enfance, à travers contes et récits, comme dans l’installation réalisée pour le conte de Grimm Rapunzel. Elle utilise des milliers de mètres de cheveux de poupées…
Ou encore lorsqu’elle reproduit une réplique en cire d’elle-même et se met en scène dans une série appelée “Le jour des poupées”… Elle apparaît tour à tour noyée telle Ophélie dans de drôles d’algues rousses, ou allongée dans un cercueil de verre, évoquant alors la fin de sa recherche de double, en même temps que l’héroïne du conte La Belle au Bois Dormant…
