L’installazione He dello studio torinese bam! bottega di architettura sostenibile è il progetto vincitore, una struttura grande e leggera, che fluttua in aria sopra la piazza del museo romano. Sarà un luogo di sosta, gioco e relax per tutta l’estate.

Anche quest’anno abbiamo l’installazione vincitrice del progetto YAP MAXXI. Un’architettura grande e leggera, che fluttua in aria sopra la piazza del MAXXI, a partire da giugno 2013 per tutto il periodo estivo, creando ombra e giochi d’acqua di giorno e luce di notte.

È l’installazione He, dello studio torinese bam! bottega di architettura metropolitana, vincitore di YAP MAXXI 2013, il programma di promozione e sostegno della giovane architettura organizzato dal MAXXI Architettura in collaborazione con il MoMA/MoMA PS1 di NY, Constructo di Santiago del Cile e, per la prima volta, Istanbul Modern (Turchia). Una giuria internazionale ha scelto tra una rosa di cinque finalisti il progetto vincitore per YAP MAXXI 2013, quest’anno alla terza edizione. Un volume sospeso, che attraverso la sua dimensione, il colore, l’uso ludico dell’acqua e l’ombra genera un’interazione con gli spazi esterni del museo. Lanterna di notte e palco per gli eventi del MAXXI, l’installazione è stata progettata dallo Studio Bam! Bottega di Architettura Metropolitana e ha battuto i 20 progetti finalisti che saranno comunque esposti, fino al prossimo 5 ottobre, all’interno del museo in un percorso espositivo dedicato.

It’s large, light, yellow and suspended over the MAXXI piazza in Rome. ‘He’ by the Turin-based studio Bam! Bottega di Architettura metropolitana, is a large volume suspended that creates a shaded space that is cool by day and then transforms into a luminous and evocative lantern accompanying the evenings and events promoted within the YAP Summer Program.

Lightness, transparency, innovation and flexibility are the characteristics of ‘He’ that are capable of making the museum a place in which culture, fun and free time may converse.

During the day, the perimeter of the prism drips water to ideally delimit the space beneath the volume and create a refreshing curtain for the public. The colour and the transparency of the material, contrasting with MAXXI’s external walls, donate surprising chromatic reflections that vary with the light over the course of the day.

From 26 June 2013 and throughout the summer period, ‘He’ will be accommodating the YAP SUMMER PROGRAM that will be animating the museum piazza with music, events and meetings devoted to design,architecture, fashion and poetry through to the beginning of September. Admittance is free to all events.
