L’invention

L’Invention est une «table de travail» qui permet de créer un film en images de synthèse.
Elle est le fruit de la rêverie d’un infographiste qui, en imitant le mouvement du réel, s’interroge sur les structures et les codes qui organisent le monde.
Entre ciel et terre, gravitent la question de la genèse et une autre sous- jacente : y a-t-il un pilote dans l’avion ?
Qui construit, dirige l’agencement des motifs qui constituent la réalité formelle ?
L’Invention est elle-même régie par un code propre à l’installation : une partition constituée d’une association d’événements, qui ne possèdent pas le même espace-temps et pourtant communiquent entre eux sous la forme d’une boucle.
L’installation et le film présentent donc un monde en construction dans lequel se rencontrent un flocon de neige à partir duquel Kepler élabore les formes géométriques qui construisent l’univers, une partition du Miserere gardée secrète par le Vatican, les gestes des pilotes de la Pa- trouille de France, la théorie d’origine pythagoricienne de l’« harmonie des sphères »…
Ces codes et figures entrent alors en résonance et deviennent le support de la création d’un monde virtuel dans lequel l’onirique se nourrit des connaissances accumulées par l’Homme.
L’installation reste une Invention. Une Invention qui met en place et coordonne une structuration du réel, questionnant ainsi la substance même de celui-ci.
The Invention is a “work table” that can be used to create a cgi film.
It was dreamed up by a computer graphics artist who, when imitating the movement of the real, questioned the structures and codes that organise the world.
Between sky and earth gravitate the question of genesis, and another, underlying one, namely: is there someone piloting this plane? Who builds and directs the order of the forms of the real?
The Invention itself is governed by a code specific to its installation: a score constituted by an association of events, which do not have the same space-time and yet communicate together in the form of a loop.
The installation and the film thus present a world that is under construction in which a snowflake, from which Kepler elaborated the geometrical forms that construct the universe, comes together with a score for the Miserere kept secret by the Vatican, the actions of the pilots of the Patrouille de France rehearsing their airborne figures (the “music”) and the Pythagorean origins theory of the “harmony of the spheres”.
These codes and figures then start resonating together and become the support for the creation of a virtual world in which the oneiric feeds on the knowledge accumulated by Man.
The investigation is left deliberately open, for the installation is “only” an Invention. An Invention that puts in place and coordinates a structuring of the real, thus questioning its very substance.
