Hidemi Nishida, an artist and environmentalist, has transformed a video by Teppei Koseki into a physically tangible object: the video projection is reflected in transparent spheres, which fill the installation, thereby illustrating the relentless intrusion of virtual reality into our everyday life. Objects from the digital world are constantly present in our surroundings, on our computer and television screens, in street advertisements. They drastically limit our personal space, not by violating its physical borders, but by dominating it visually through intensive movement, color, sound and light. Nishida creates a dramatic illustration of this state of affairs by surrounding the viewer with a dense virtual ring of this new trend in the form of modern dance.

Hidemi Nishida (Japan, 1986) is a Japanese artist and designer, a master of temporary architectural constructs that are meant to reveal to us virtual creatures the great aesthetic pleasure to be had in communing with nature. Nishida has successfully exhibited his works at Japan’s Sapporo Art Forest and Toblu Art Festival. In 2012, he created an installation in Novosibirsk, and now, in 2013, has made his way to Moscow. Teppei Koseki (Japan, 1981) is a director from the new wave of Japanese video art and a member of DefectLeak group, founded in 2009. Koseki participates regularly in exhibitions and film festivals in Japan, Europe and the United States: Hokkaido Independent Film Festival (Sapporo, Japan), Brosta TV Awards (Tokyo, Japan), AMODA (Austin, USA) and others.
