Inventar otras formas posibles.

Ivan Puig was born in Guadalajara in 1975. He graduated from the Bachelor of Fine Arts specializing in engraving of the University of Guanajuato and has studied at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain and the University of Laval in Quebec, Canada.

His work is full of hybrid formal solutions that do not allow to accurately describe its parts. For example, he decides to intervene in a series of public sculptures from small objects or situations that recontextualize a stationary object, photographically documenting this action, and displays the record of this intervention as the final artwork.

He uses materials that are slowly processed and whose result is a piece that does not end up just as a finished exhibition object, but in most cases he takes from these materials or findings some elements that allow him to complete a new idea in order to take it to its last consequence.
