Taisuke Koyama was born in 1978 in Tokyo. He studied Biology at university and is a self-taught photographer. In 2005 he won a prize in the 25th Recruit Hitotsubo Award, a competition for young photographers, which marked the start for his career as a photographer. He has published three books, Your Surviving Door, Dark Matter and entropix. Taisuke Koyama is represented by G/P Gallery in Tokyo and has held several solo shows. His works were exhibited at Paris Photo 2008 and Photo Miami. Rainbow Form is a close study of a found poster of a rainbow. Continuing his interest in micro phenomenon that started with the book entropix Koyama takes digital photographs of the superficial details of artificial objects, which seem to materialize a city’s metabolic activities.
