Biografie

Born in 1975 in the Netherlands, Wouter Mijland has worked as newspaper boy, greengrocer, lumberjack, outdoor guide, horse logger, carpenter, fence builder, furniture maker, gardener, audio and video software specialist, cook, road and pipeline construction worker, bar keeper, welder, surveyor, farmer, environmental campaigner, wagoner,sawmiller, horseshoer, blacksmith, house painter, contractor, forestry teacher, tractor driver, theater producer, bronze caster, paviour, sculptor, dish washer, translator and language teacher.

Nowadays Wouter works as a free-lance sustainable forestry specialist (internationally, including Africa) and as an artist, designing and making sculptures, installations, furniture, and erformances. Wouter’s career is rather unusual and freakish since he is prettyversatile and on the road a lot.
