Impermanence explores the constantly evolving and cyclical essence of nature by positioning generative AI as a “third observer”. Integrating Aristotle’s four elements with the Buddhist concept of interdependent origination, the work visualizes the organic interrelationships of the natural world. Through the unique gaze of AI—belonging neither to humanity nor nature—it reilluminates the rhythms of existence and transformation.

BIO

Chang Gi Lee is a media artist investigating the boundaries between nature, humanity, and AI. Holding an MS from KAIST and an MFA in Media Art, he combines technical precision with philosophical inquiry. Winner of the Alan Turing Award in Chicago and ISEA presenter, his work is showcased globally in New York and Paris.
