Kristofer Hedberg Ride Sculpture

Kristofer Hedberg (b. 1980) uses art as a method to process and express emotions and thoughts that arise through actions. In the form of sculptures and installations, the symbolic objects take a role of props for the artist’s own thoughts in a study of the human behavior. Authority, history and masculinity are recurring topics in Hedberg’s artistry, where submission becomes his driving force for an investigation of the various instruments that are used for prevailing power. Kristofer Hedberg displays an installation, which questions control, influences and the audience in a group. What happens in the transformation of power and the opportunity to ride on authority? Is it a game, revenge or abuse? Through the installation the artist hopes to involve the audience in the room where the question arises whether to cheer, observe or act.
